Silence from Red Planet Television re: competition suggests, nearly two months later, that I have been unsuccessful. Clearly they’re beavering away on some other script (Phil’s?).
So pencilling in time after Easter to polish script into full 45-60 minute story and submit on Amazon.1 These types of genre programming are doing very well online, and I feel my world is sufficiently different.2
Read this week that some GoT fans believe Westeros is a post-apocalyptic world. Would be good to get Queen Immortal3 out there — one way or another — before George RR Martin breaks that twist.
In unrelated-yet-coincidental news, George Martin, Beatles’ record producer, has died at 90.
It’s fair to say at this point, I think, that everything I had learned from books and guides and short courses on writing screenplays for TV was becoming increasingly outdated as the industry rocketed away from my old-hat books. But I kept plugging away for a few more years.
See my supplemental on The Queen Immortal.
