Mother's Day (UK)
After a good start - Bruce and Erin-Rose both won the “hard work bear” at Dance School, before handing daffodils out at Sunday School - we took Granny and Grandma out for Mother’s Day.
Venue was “Daisy Mae’s”, a café opposite the Beacon, which serves an unusual but supposedly flexible menu. Ceri had booked months in advance, notifying them of my aversion to onions and cream.
On offer were two creamy soups, both with onions. After the starters, I was served a vegetable tart with red onion marmalade. Thankfully, the coleslaw was onion free or else I might have left very hungry!
Mothers enjoyed it, as did the twins.
